MOVES AT MONACO Monaco Apartments Nelson Grand Mercure has changed the name and style of its restaurant. Popular for meetings, and host of a function at last year’s Conventions & Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) conference, the hotel has moved to a more casual approach with The Monaco Kitchen (previously The Orangerie). Sharon McGuire, director of operations at Monaco, says the idea is to have small bites, tasting plates and feasts. ‘It’s about sharing time with friends, family, sweethearts and your mates. We want people to come to us and enjoy themselves for a couple of hours.’ The Monaco Kitchen
